How does ordering a custom sign work?

1) Tell us about your project: your property or business, style, budget and any must-haves. 2) We help you pick one of our standard styles and sizes, or design something completely custom. 3) We send you a digital proof to review. 4) You approve the final design in writing and pay in full. 5) We build it in our Blue Ridge, Texas shop and deliver, install or ship it. How does payment work? Do you take deposits?

Every custom piece is built specifically for you and can't be resold, so we require 100% payment before production begins. Your project enters our production schedule once we have your written approval of the final design and your payment. There is no partial-payment option for production.

How long does a custom order take?

Our standard lead time is about 3–4 weeks before delivery or installation. The clock starts once we have your written design approval and full payment. Need it sooner? Rush production may be available for an additional fee, depending on our schedule. Tell us your date when you request a quote and we'll do our best to meet it.

Do I get to see my design before you make it?

Yes. We send you a digital proof before anything is cut. Please check every detail (spelling, sizing, colors, dimensions and layout). Your written approval confirms everything is correct, and production doesn't start until we have it.

Are design revisions included?

Yes. Your quote includes up to 5 design revisions during the design process. Once a design is approved in writing, extensive redesigns or additional changes may incur extra design fees.

What file format should I send my logo or artwork in?

SVG whenever possible. It gives the cleanest results for cutting. PDF or other vector files also help. No logo? No problem. A rough sketch, a photo, an idea in your head or an AI-generated concept is a fine starting point, and we'll design it with you. Note that AI-generated artwork is not production-ready and almost always needs additional design work before it can be manufactured. Email files to info@ammetalworks.com.

Can I get the design files for my new logo?

Yes. If you'd like to use your new logo for future branding, the original production-ready design files (SVG, PDF, etc.) can be purchased for an additional fee. Just ask.

Do colors on the proof match the finished sign?

We work hard to represent colors accurately in our mockups, but colors can look slightly different on phones, tablets, monitors and printed materials. Minor variations between a digital proof and the finished piece are normal.

Do you install signs?

Yes. Delivery and standard installation are included for signage in the Broken Bow / Hochatown, Oklahoma area, including our Complete Road Sign Package for STR free-install option. Outside that area, we ship to the 48 contiguous United States so you or your contractor can install it. Want a more hands-on install, like removing an existing sign, a FaceTime or on-site placement consultation, or extra site work? We're happy to help for an additional service fee.

How do I get ready for installation?

Clearly mark the exact install location before we arrive (for example with a flag, stake or paint mark), and text us a photo if you can. If the spot isn't marked, you can choose to have us bring the sign back on our next scheduled delivery route to the area, or pick up your finished sign at our shop. Installation dates may move because of severe weather or other unsafe conditions.

Do I need HOA approval or a permit?

If your property is in an HOA or a jurisdiction that requires approval or permits, getting those approvals before installation is the customer's responsibility. Please confirm them before you approve your design.

Is electrical work included with lighted or LED signs?

Installation of LED and backlit signs is free in the Broken Bow / Hochatown area. It does not include wiring or any electrical work needed to plug in or power the sign, such as running conduit, installing or relocating outlets, adding or modifying circuits, or extending existing power. The customer arranges that work, and it must be finished before our install date. Delays from incomplete site prep may require rescheduling and could add trip or installation fees.

How long is a quote good for?

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. After that, pricing may change with material and supplier costs.

Can I cancel or change my order?

You can make changes until you approve your proof. Once your design is approved and production begins, custom orders can't be canceled or refunded, and extra changes may cost extra. See our refund policy.

Can you build something custom or larger than what's listed?

Yes. We build custom pieces up to 10 × 10 ft: ranch entrances, gate emblems, lobby logos, monument signs and metal art. Use our Custom Metal Sign: Request a Free Quote listing (there's no charge), or call or text (972) 832-0514. We'll review your idea and send you a quote.

What is the $100 custom sign design listing?

The $100 custom sign design listing lets you start custom design work and your digital proof before your sign is finalized. The full $100 is credited toward your sign's total. The remaining balance is due in full, along with your written design approval, before production begins.

What's the difference between powder coat, Corten and patina?

Powder coat is a durable baked-on finish available in any color, and it is the base price on our wall art. Corten is a weathering steel that develops a natural, living rust patina and holds up outdoors; it adds 25% to the price. Patina finishes (such as bronze, verdigris and blackened) are hand-applied for a one-of-a-kind look.

Does the freestanding cabin name sign come with posts?

No. The Freestanding Cabin Name Sign is the sign panel only. Posts are not included.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free on orders of $100 or more. Orders under $100 ship for a flat $15. We ship to the 48 contiguous United States.

How do you ship large pieces?

Small and medium pieces ship by parcel carrier (UPS or FedEx) with tracking. Large and extra-large pieces, large signs, privacy screens and other heavy items ship crated by freight carrier, and the freight company calls you to schedule a delivery window. Inspect your shipment and note any damage on the delivery slip before signing. Please make sure your piece will fit through your entryway before ordering.

What if my order arrives damaged or has a defect?

Contact us with photos of the item and packaging and we'll repair or replace it. Report shipping damage within 48 hours of delivery; for freight, note the damage on the delivery slip before signing and don't refuse the delivery. Report manufacturing defects within 7 days of delivery. See our refund policy.

Do you offer a warranty?

We stand behind our workmanship. If you have an issue related to craftsmanship or manufacturing, contact us and we'll make it right. Warranty coverage doesn't include normal weathering, misuse, accidents, vandalism, or damage caused by improper installation by others.

How should I care for my steel piece?

Wash with mild soap and water and a microfiber cloth. Don't pressure wash directly against painted surfaces or LED components. Corten and raw steel are meant to weather: they develop a natural rust patina outdoors, and rust runoff can stain surfaces below, so plan placement with that in mind. Please contact us before attempting any repairs or modifications.

Can I order matching signs later?

Yes. We keep your project information on file, so it's easy to order matching signs, replacement panels or additional branding pieces in the future.

Do you offer discounts for multiple cabins?
